EUREDEN: A New Name for d’aucy / Triskalia

On Thursday, 31 January, the d’aucy and Triskalia Groups announced that EUREDEN will be the name of the new group created by their merger.

Serge Le Bartz, d’aucy Group Chairman, and Triskalia Group Chairman Georges Galardon explained that the merger is subject to the approval of the French Competition Authority, which expected in the first half of 2019. The objective is to launch the first phase of the two groups’ union, covering all their business activities. In 2020, after completion of that initial phase, the two co-operative groups will officially merge.

This announcement was made simultaneously on eight of the two co-operatives’ websites, symbolizing the geographic roots of an agricultural and agri-food growth project beginning in Brittany.

In addition to the new name, the two groups’ leaders presented the new group’s visual identity and tagline, “The earth unites us”.
There are three facets to this new identity:
- Brittany, with the Breton sound of the name and the logo’s graphic design and colours;
- agricultural co-operation through the tagline, “The earth unites us”;
- our ambition, embodied in the dynamic new logo.

Georges Galardon reported, “Farmers in Brittany continue to build their future with determination. As soon as we have the green light from the Competition Authority, we will unite our co-operatives under the name EUREDEN, that will spearhead the development of Breton agriculture and agri-food”.
“The new name and visual identity reflect our shared values as a Breton agricultural co-operative which is laying the foundations in our region for our international ambitions”
, added Serge Le Bartz.
