d'aucy Group co-operatives committed to recycling their agricultural waste

During the European Week for Waste Reduction, d’aucy Group reaffirms and continues its commitment to recycling its waste and to the environment.

In partnership with ADIValor (Farmers, Distributors and Manufacturers for the Recovery of Agricultural Waste) eco-organisation, our Cecab and Coop de Broons co-operatives annually collect the agricultural waste of our members. A collection is organized for each type of waste (strings, large bags, cling film, etc.). Aware of the importance of waste recovery, members deposit their waste, during collection dates, in the nearest Cecab or Coop de Broons store, which then checks that it complies with the specifications. The waste is then consolidated and removed by ADIValor before being sent to specialised structures in western regions to be recovered. In 2017, nearly 680 tonnes of agricultural waste were collected by Cecab and Coop de Broons. Representing the evolution of the awareness of our members-producers, this rate continues to increase from year to year.

D’aucy Group cooperatives and our members are thus actively involved in the circular economy and the preservation of resources. And their commitment does not end there. Through ADIValor, our cooperatives take part in the development of the Circular Economy Roadmap and, in one of its 4 workshops, processing plastics and switching to a zero waste policy by 2025. This participative roadmap, launched by the French government on 24 October and published in March 2018, aims to explore solutions for the circular economy and waste management.

At d’aucy Group, nothing is wasted, everything is transformed, including agricultural waste!
