CREATIVITY: THE HEART OF OUR BUSINESS

Research and development and, more generally, innovation are a major component of d’aucy Group’s strategy. This strategy has only strengthened over the years through listening more carefully to customers and analysing consumer expectations with greater precision.

The innovation process is structured around the Group’s different sectors and concerns both the Group’s products and its work methods.

AN INNOVATION STRATEGY FOR PRECISION AGRICULTURE

The agricultural methods of member farmers have benefited from major innovations. Who would have imagined a few years ago fertilizing his or her land via satellite technology? Yet this is what happened on 22,000 hectares (54,000 acres) of crops thanks to Farmstar. Likewise, the RTK technology made available to our members uses a network of base stations to provide audio-guidance for a plot of land, increasing their comfort levels and optimizing their use of inputs. Additionally, Sentek sensors measure soil moisture to calculate the land’s irrigation needs as accurately as possible.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT IN THE SERVICE OF PRODUCT INNOVATION

The research and development teams are hard at work for both supermarkets and the food service industry, to meet the needs and expectations of consumers and society as a whole. This yields a wide variety of innovations applied to each of the Group’s business sectors. In the egg sector, the teams have for example perfected a laser pre-cut soft-boiled egg. For food service, they have been working on protein enriched products for the undernourished, like the Renfort+ range. In canned vegetables, a mature market par excellence, the vegetable sector offers something new with the arrival of vacuum-sealed stir-fry ready meals.
The range of possibilities is enormous, and d’aucy Group intends to make innovation and R&D an important part of its corporate DNA.
